Comments from users

The nurses and the doctors have said what a quick and good recovery I’ve had.

It was so comforting to listen to before, during and after the op. Thank you so much

Remember, regular listening is the key to success!

This is a self help hypnotherapy recording for adults and older teenagers facing surgery and/or recovering from surgery.

Mental rehearsal in an imaginative framework

Relaxing comfortably, you are encouraged to use your breathing to breathe in the colour of calm, relaxing you even more deeply into the state where communication with your inner mind becomes easy and natural. You are encouraged to prepare your mind and body for maximum calm during forthcoming procedures and call upon your body’s natural healing forces to encourage rapid recovery and an emotional and physical sense of well being.

Successful approach

This kind of approach is completely natural and safe. Research shows that when a person first acts out each positive step in their imagination, it dramatically increases the likelihood of their success in the real world. It is also frequently used by sports men and women and performance artists world wide to improve their technique and relieve anxiety. This recording contains powerful suggestions for boosting confidence and self esteem.

Play the recording at a quiet time where you won’t be disturbed

You can relax and drift off to sleep at the end if it is your normal bedtime but if you find that you regularly fall asleep more or less immediately, try listening earlier in the evening or in the daytime instead. It should never be listened to while driving because, as it is so relaxing, it could take your attention away from the road where of course you need to be at your most alert.

The recording is particularly effective when you listen on headphones
