A self help hypnotherapy recording for children (and even adults too) from about 8 years and over, who have difficulty in sleeping.  Gentle & relaxing, it helps them feel more calm and comfortable as they wait patiently for sleep to come upon them.

Play the recording at bedtime

They can relax as they listen and drift comfortably off to sleep at the end. The recording should be in addition to, rather than instead of, any usual bedtime rituals or stories so that they don’t feel deprived in any way. Imaginative framework

Children relax comfortably, imagining breathing in calm and breathing out unwanted thoughts or feelings that have previously prevented them from sleeping. They imagine using a paintbrush to paint, or using a gold glitter pen to write down, any worries on to a sheet of white paper and then folding it up over and over and squeezing it into a matchbox. Or they can choose to let the thought drift out of their mind into a passing white cloud that carries it away. Everyday household sounds such as gurgling radiators or creaking stairs are reframed with a safe twist and they are encouraged to feel safe and peaceful and at ease as the recording plays.

This kind of approach is completely natural and safe. Research shows that when a person first acts out each positive step in their imagination, it dramatically increases the likelihood of their success in the real world. This CD contains powerful suggestions for boosting confidence and self esteem. The language and topics used are carefully crafted to appeal to the interests of this particular age group.
