Dry all Night Through!
Triumphant Mail from Client’s Mother
Rose (Changed name to preserve her privacy) is an eleven-year-old client who came to see me to see if I could help her stay dry at night.
She had just one appointment and, as I always do with all my clients, I made her a personal audio to listen to at night when she went to bed. Below is the triumphant message I received from her Mum.
“Hi Lynda
I thought I’d send you an update on Rose. After seeing you, Rose definitely made some improvements. We had some weeks where she was wet a few times. Then we thought starting secondary school would be another possible setback. She continued having fairly good weeks, but still some weeks where we think she may have be anxious about school we had some wet nights.
Today as I’m writing this Rose has been dry EVERY night for over FIVE weeks!!!!!!! She has never been dry for longer than 7 nights!
Rose asked us if she could play her audio all night even while asleep rather than us stopping it when we go to bed and she has been doing that for over 6 weeks.
We’re really hoping this is the light at the end of the tunnel for her. Thank you so much once again for seeing her and helping her. She is so happy, as are we!”
My reply to her Mum
“As you can imagine I am so delighted to hear this news. That is such a brilliant idea because our level of sleep continues to change overnight without our really being aware of it so there would be some times when we didn’t hear it at all and other lighter levels where we would ‘hear it’ but only at a semi-conscious level. Tell her how clever I think she is and I will hire her as my advisor from now on!! Congratulations Rose!”
I usually say to parents after they have listened to the full audio, turn the audio off once they are asleep but perhaps from now on, I will get them to follow Rose’s excellent example!
